Oddly, when I spoke to the Woodcraft guy in Richmond when I was up there recently, he actually steered me away from their stool, even considering it could have been had for about twenty bucks. They had none, anyway, same for here at home in Greensboro. Picked up the taller and pneumatic at Northern Tool yesterday and so far (first day in use), it seems nice. 'Course it's a $50 stool, too, but I like it.

EDIT: Doh just got a cancellation email saying item is no longer available. But when you go to the site it still says it's in stock.

I guess I got lucky. Rumor has it from my local guys that they are changing up the stool for a different model. Probably changing the color of the seat cushion to green instead of cream. That would have been nicer.

EDIT* I did get lucky. Just browsed Amazon to see how much bar stools are going for these days... The cheapest I can find is $53.00!
