Looking forward to a cool wave next week - highs only in the lower to mid-90s.
We have had so many days > 100 in the past 3 weeks I lost count. Highest here 106-107 for several days straight. Forget working in the shop with a 6K BTU window unit.
Very unusual for June - July. August, is this holds, will be h***.
Temps were actually under 100 today. Still too stinking hot to work in the shop...

Now go forth and enjoy your vacation, fish without getting heat stroke and be thankful, if it were warmer more mosquitoes would be out!
Oh, and don't forget when you go swimming you may not be alone in the water,
Too cold for the fish to be biting. Too cold to go swimming. Mosquitoes or not doesn't matter - wearing jeans and long sleeves anyway. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny. First sunny day since Tuesday. Sunday is supposed to be 80. I will believe it when I see it. The lake was 75ish when we got here. Now it is below 70.

The chief cause of failure in this life is giving up what you want most for what you want at the moment.
this whole last was a little too hot here in phx to ride my bike to work. i still rode on monday, but the wife prohibited me from doing it the rest of the week. yesterday my car read 117
that's good for a You suck! if there's anything that rates it.
its a balmy 94F here now because we have a little overcast, but the high was 97 earlier.

This has been a very weird summer. I don't think we hit 90 since spring and we are running 10F cooler than normal. I didn't even install the A/C in the shop yet. The warmest day in the 5 day is 84 for tomorrow and upper 70's for all of next week.
I can't complain I ripped the shop apart over the last 1.5 weeks. Last weekend I removed and replaced a header in order to open up the floor plan in the shop. I spend all of this week moving things around and painting all of the walls white. I installed hardboard on all of the walls since plywood was too expensive and drywall is too easily damaged. Run the palm sander over all of the walls, tack them, 2 coats of Gripper primer and one coat of Valspar satin exterior porch paint. 1/3 is done, 1/3 has 2 coats of primer and 1/3 has been started. EXCEPT part of the last 1/3 has over a ton of wood pellets stacked up and I can wait until next year to paint that wall.
