    I missed the other thread on this (I'm assuming there was one). I'm really sorry to hear you had an accident. That looks like a bad one. Hope you heal quickly.

    On a lighter note, I know you said before that your wife's name is Carole. So is mine. I thought it was a co-incidence. But now you tell me she's a nurse? I'm not sure I should post this, but is this her?

        what's an appropriate length of time before we can start cracking jokes, you know, thumbs up and stuff? Do we have to wait for the pain meds to wear off?

            By chance - the Chief plastic surgeon was on duty when I was admitted - the nurses kept telling me how good he was

                  first of all, i am sorry to hear this. just logged on after several days. i hope you will recover fast. that is some serious bandaging that is the in pictures. did you cut your thumb all the way through or what? were they able to attach the half thumb back on?
