I agree with Mike....even stylized, marine props are usually depicted with 3 or 4 blades, and aviation props with only 2. Still looks like something off a building, though, and a ship's mooring point.

...how about a tie-down point for a blimp? (let the laughter begin....)

        It's not a stool.

It's not a belt buckle for the JGG.

I can feel all the thinking going on out there. You're all so close. Somebody will hit on it any moment. We've come up with a lot of things it isn't.

I'll tell what, you've all been pretty patient except for TheRic. He's been under a lot of stress lately being the national champion and all. Actually looking over some of the suggestions there is a remarkable range of applications this "thing" could be. The imagination is somethin' else,

If at first you don't succeed, deny you were trying in the first place.

Known as a "cow catcher" the correct term is "pilot" for the device on the front of locomotives and was invented by Charles Babbage in the 19th century...BUT...

Is it an antique "one of those things you spit in at the dentists office after they sprayed all that water in your mouth"??

That's something I've seen before but maybe wouldn't remember.
