Opt Out Messages for California Great Britian, and EU

Since we use Google AdSense on this site we have set up the required privacy notices for California (CPRA), the EU, and Great Britain (GDPR).

Note that this applies to Google and their partners. The SawdustZone has never and will never sell or distribute personal information.

Is this move to keep hostile countries from mining our private data?

No, this is to comply with the laws in those countries (and California) that require we provide a notice to users about what we do with their data. Upon request from anyone in the EU or Great Britain, we are also required to delete their posts and user information within 3 days.

As a Minnesota Non-Profit, none of those laws are enforceable, but Google will stop showing ads if we are out of compliance. Then we'd have to go back to asking members for donations every year and hoping we can keep the lights on.
