    New Logo and Slogan contest!

We the staff of SawDustZone / BT3Central need your help with the look and feel of the site.

As you know by now, BT3Central, in order to have a broader interest for new members is being renamed SawDustZone. We will still keep the BT3x00 related aspects, as well as all the vital information on the saw and its modifications and uses as we can.

Where we need your help is with a new logo and slogan.

So whip out your graphics software, and dust off the creativity for this one!

The winning authors / graphics artists will be given full credit for their work, and a little something else...

    The winners will get...

For the Logo winner, a choice of prizes a Forrest WWII, either ker, a Whiteside 401 or 402 router bit set generously donated by Brian Holbren with Holbren Sales, or a Shark Guard generously donated by Lee Styron's Lee Way Workshop.

The slogan winner will receive the remaining prize. (only one of each prize total will be awarded).

The entries must be submitted to this thread no later than midnight CST September 20 2012. Judging will be done by the staff and a winner will be announced on September 23rd!

As a gentle reminder as well. The new fundraiser is already in effect, your contributions will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your support and participation!

better description of prizes - links

Whiteside and Forrest are two of the names that come to mind when you ask for the names of the best woodworking cutting tools available. These are great prizes with a value around $100 each.

Whiteside 401 (402 is same but with 1/4" shank). 7-piece router bit set

Forrest WWII either kerf (1/8" or 3/32" your choice). 10" table saw blade 40T general purpose ATB renowned for giving very fine quality cuts

Donated by Brain Holbren, www.holbren.com, a Sawdustzone and longtime BT3Central supporter selling premium bits and blades at discounted prices.

It might be a benefit to the forum for contributing the value of the prize to the fund drive, instead of the award going to the winning members' submission. IOW, if a sponsor donates a prize, instead of the prize itself, the value of it in the member's name. Or, the prize could be sold to members, and then the proceeds directed to the fund drive.

While I have no way to do it I would like to suggest simply keeping the BT3Central logo and instead of the O in .com simply place a spinning sawblade throwing dust into the air as our logo.Just a thought

Please submit your entries in the two threads in this section. Contest is open to any member of BT3Central, staff excluded. It has been suggested two entries per member, however feel free to edit your entry up to the point that the threads will be locked after the entry deadline. Thanks for your support.

That's an animated gif but don't know how to make one.

As a reminder, the logo needs to be for the new site name. SawdustZone.

I came up with a better looking spinning sawblade than I had seen in the past...

Sorry, no sawdust yet. And I am precluded from contributing too much to this since I am staff...
