    Just have to brag, sorry.

Wife entered the fair again this year and took a piece of my inventory with her. Sorry about the pictures they had mine under glass along with some other 1st place winners.

She also got a grand champion for her rhubarb crunch!

Thank You for all your comments, I just realized how much your support means to me. Thank You, Dan

Congratulations on the recognition of your beautiful work. Bragging is quite justified.

Beautiful work and congrats. Just wonderin' - is that turned on a lathe or is it a scroll saw piece? I recently read an article about making a bowl with a scroll saw where one layer fits into another layer, fits into another layer, etc. And then it's sanded. In either case, nicely done!

It was done on a Ringmaster lathe, I've done the scroll saw method "once". The scroll saw is very time consuming and the sanding takes forever! The wood is Alaskan figured birch. Finish is from Doctors Woodshop out of Oregon.

Hard to tell without a perspective, but that bowl looks to be the right size for a single serving of prize-winning rhubarb crunch!!

The bowl was a Blue-Ribbon winner in my book before the state fair entry, and i'm betting the rhubarb crunch was as well. Congratulations to both of you!!
