The lignum has a more appealing shape now. More Cigar pen - good job!

I think other members here have used photo boxes (don't recall the exact name, now) but they really help in balancing the lighting so that the flash doesn't wash out the color.
I think in straight lines, but dream in curves

If you think zebrawood stinks, just wait until you turn deer antler!

I love the smell of paduk, myself.

I finished all 5 in time for Christmas.. 4 are with new owners..

New ones are Purplehart Diva, Purplehart Executive and the last is a Madrona burl Virtex click pen.

The Executive is my cleanest one yet..
The finish on the burl is giving me fits.. it keeps doing dull in places after I get a good polish on it.

Great looking pens. Instead of waiting for the ca to dry, try a blo/ca combination. You can apply many coats in a short time and the finish comes out very smooth. This is a good video on applying blo/ca http://youtu.be/orcgOf4siqc.

Also, I have been using a synthetic car wax as a final polish with good results.

BTW: Will you be trying acrylics any time soon?

            Hi Richard,

I don't want to hijack this thread but where do you get the guts of your flashlights?

            Thanks,
