    A Special Gift

My wife's daughter offered to make a couple skirts for her so this will be in the package with the fabric that she is sending.
Galaxy Blue PR from Exotics topped off with a Jr Statesman finial and clip.

      Seam ripper.
Basic undo tool for a seamstress.

Basically the sharp point is flat and long, turning it sideways allows slipping the point under a stitch. Rotate the tool and push the stitch into the crook where its a thin sharp edge and it will cut the stitch. You can cut a lot of stitches off quickly using this tool. Otherwise you have to use scissors or a knife and it risks damaging the fabric.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.
