Class action suit on many drill bits B&D IRWIN CRAFTSMAN DEWALT others

"For use by purchasers of Titanium and Cobalt drill bits sold under the DEWALT, Craftsman, Irwin, MAC Tools, Bostich (Titanium only), and Matco (Cobalt only) brands (“Covered Drill Bits”) and certain Titanium saw blades sold under the DEWALT and Lenox brands (“Covered Saw Blades”) (together, the “Covered Products”) between April 13, 2015 and October 13, 2021."

Looks like it covers a lot of bits brands owned by Black and Decker for false advertisement of titanium and cobalt coating or material composition.

Looks like easy to get a few bucks, $1.67 million to be shared; up to $8 per claimant. You just need to claim you bought these bits in the last 6 years and give an approximate $ amount of purchase.

I thought sure I had bought some from Amazon, particularly a set of Dewalt cobalt pilot point. But my search did not show any. (I did learn that I bought my Drill Doctor 750 in 2003. That is a long history.) I also bought two sets of Chinese TiN, with Hex base (one set 5 years ago and a recent one) that are not covered.

I guess I bought the Dewalt set from HD. All of my other Cobalt sets were from HF. I will check the price out with HD. I remember buying a set of Dewalt cobalt pilot head for the purpose of drilling a rod (on my lathe) and wanted a cobalt bit. I was so impressed with the cobalt set that I bought a set of HF 115 piece and later a 135° split point set of 29.

Last set of drill bits I bought were Ryobi branded probably back in 2012...
