  • DP Pro drill press system.

Saw this drill press table setup advertised on Facebook.

has a lot of neat features and claims to be a woodpecker product. But this site is not woodpeckers or is normal outlets and it costs $20, which, I haven't seen anything from woodpeckers you could buy for $20 forever.

Tripped on over to woodpeck.com, woodpeckers site and they do have this table and fence system... for $439.

Clearly the top link is some kind of scam... can't figure it out. Just beware of prices too good to be true. FB seems to be full of these too good to be true vendors advertising.

If something like that is advertised on FB, I would be VERY wary of it. LOML ordered a sweater from LLB back in Sept and then the next day saw the same sweater advertised on FB from LLB's online factory outlet for clearance at 1/4th the price. It smelled like a scam to me and I called LLBean. Turns out that LLB does not have an online factory outlet. I saw the ad on FB and reported it; Saw it again about an hour later and reported it again. The next day, no sign of them.

FB is not good at checking the real scams.

I ordered something from one of those FB ads that seemed like a really good deal. Not ridiculously low priced but cheap. I used a CC I don't normally use probably not in the last year.
The very next day the bank contacts me and said a suspicious charge was made from someplace in China for a large amount. I said yeah that's bogus. And I never got the item.either.

And lots of knockoff Woodpecker items... some of the pictures are straight from the WP catalog with the logo on the tools. But they aren't WP items...red, yes.

I don't understand ads at all. I've never clicked on any ad ever in my life. Why would anyone? And FB ads are particularly scammy. Also, running an adblocker improves your internet experience by a lot. Using a browser without a blocker is pretty horrifying with all the junk everywhere.
