    new Kreg Micro jig?

    http://www.homedepot.com/p/Kreg-Micr...ODGB/204615883

homedepot.com was pushing this in its e-mail - a new Kreg Micro Jig (colored black to differentiate it)
said to have 25% smaller screws to make smaller joints in 1/2" wood. Requires their 3/4" length pan head screw available only with fine thread.

So I found it on Kreg's site using search, it's on the product list under Kreg Jig Accessories
    https://www.kregtool.com/store/c22/k...e-drill-guide/

    Instructions: https://www.kregtool.com/webres/File...structions.pdf

Looks like it uses a 19/64" step drill bit. (instead of the standard 3/8")

Apparently announced back in April 2014... almost looks like they're hiding it. maybe not selling?

I guess it has limited use for just 1/2" material.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

Bought one when they came out, via the Woodworking show. (dad picked up two when he went)
The big push was to make inexpensive and easy drawers (what he was doing for shop cabinets), the other push on it, was more for crafts.
Good to know that it can be found in stores now.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

I found their smaller size screws a few yrs ago but apparently they hadn't produced the small jig. I wanted a smaller screw thinking it wouldn't split the antique pine as bad. Didn't work, still split.
