    today's ridgid 14" band saw

i haven't put this is bargain alerts because they were supposedly all gone. but strolling around the hawthorne, ny HD this morning and in an overhead i spy a NIB ridgid BS. check w/ CS and ther's none on hand and the price is $.01. store manager is called, saw is pointed out and he solemnly confirms he can't sell it for $.01. "how much, then" says I. he proffers $50, i offer $30 and we settle on $40. not sure what i'm going to do with it yet. pays to look up when @ your local HD.

Have I told you how much I hate you... You are just absolutely ridiculous, isn't this the second major score in nearly as many months for you? Or was that someone else? Congrats, and if you don't know what to do with that, send it down here.

I swear toolguy1K must spend all his time (not just free time) cruising the Box stores looking for these things. I never find them.

What a gloat (even if he didn't say it was one).

Naw,you have been smokin(something) lately, but whats gonna happen when the well (aka H.D) runs dry, The need a coupla Lowes and Menards up there before they start shutting things down. Maybe a little friendly competition would be good for them. Plus you have a Sears that rocks, that bandsaw was a helluva deal, hows it running, got any pics since you got her up an all the parts for it?

runs fine but haven't had a chance to use it yet what with work, projects and strolling around HDs . it really is a nice saw, but the OEM fence is a little finicky to set up. and had they had the foresight to lengthen the front fence rail so it extended more towards the column, it would have made it more useful. if this unit came out of the same asian factory that makes the 10-325, i have more respect for that saw than ever.
