    Drill press gloat

Not sure if all the Home Depot's are doing this, so I didn't post in the Bargin Alert, but my local Home Depot has the Ryobi 12" bench top drill press on clearance. Store associate did not know why, but it was. Locally these go for $180, and I bought mine for $140. I have been wanting one of these for some time, and have read good reviews about them, so now was the time to jump on it. Not quite sure yet where in the shop this will be mounted semi-permanently. I have already had fun with it just punching holes through wood, and at different depths and angles. The table tilts 45 degrees.

good, now you need a woodworking drill press table for that guy with a fence that allows accurate drilling of holes, and you should also familiarize yourself with how to select and set the proper drill speed for different materials and bit sizes - that can make a world of difference on the quality of your holes.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.
