Thanks, Guys.
This new model just makes manufacturing these a bit of a simpler process as well. Previously with the different sizes, I had to make stock many different sized parts.
I had a heavy duty model as well. This version streamlines all that. Now I just have the one size and I will make a longer version of this for larger saws.
I have been doing this for some time now and I have learned a lot about the processes. I keep refining the processes and new designs just scream at me. I have designed many more of these than I have produced. It's a dance between design and manufacturing capabilities. I won't say this is the last version, but this is the design road I wanted to be on for some time.
I have started getting some of my splitters made by a sub contractor. I have a RFQ in to my plastics supplier to produce the sides of these for me. These things will allow me to finally get some stock built up and be able to ship within a day or two of orders.
Lead times have always been pretty long. Even though the splitters and knives are custom made to order, I should be able to do better. I have another full time employee.
Anywho, this is a step in the right direction.
Any questions, just holler.
Oh. There is a standing 10% off for any BT3Central members that have been a member for 3 months.
Thanks again, Guys.
These actually cost me a little more per guard than the others did. The time savings offsets the extra materials, so the cost will stay the same for now. Less 10% for you guys.
