    bandsaw

I just bought a bandsaw off of craigslist and can’t seem to find anything on it anywhere (quite possibly some knockoff bandsaw) but not sure only things on it say “Precision Woodworking Bandsaw 18″ then it gives a model and serial number but no brand name nothing useful on the motor either. was wondering if there is anyway or anyone you know of that might could help me with identifying it. The guide blocks are 5/8″ kinda oddball size and blade is 128″ again lil oddball size. Thing is rock solid, would just like to know more about it. any help is appreciated.

Try Google, put in "bandsaw" and the model number and see what pops up. No guarantee, but a place to start.

Sound like maybe one of the ones Cummins used to sell?

a few pictures would surely help. front, back, labels, detail of the table and guides, for example. Anything unusual.

Go to Google, type in bandsaw, and click on images. Go to Bing, click images, type in bandsaw. Look at the pictures and you may see it come up.

Curious that the motor plate lists the amperage at 220V at nearly what it is at 110V (10A vs. 12A). That is kind of odd.

congrtas on your purchase. nice looking saw in what appears to be good condition. are the wheels CI? tha CI table should clean up real well. use it in good health.

Those labels look suspiciously like the ones Harbor Freight uses for Central Machinery tools... But the name is missing...

kinda thought it might be a HF knock off or early HF or something along those lines but i dont know and can't find much on it. Its alum wheels but just about everything else is cast iron. Thing is really heavy. it'll clean up nicely but was interested in finding out more about it

Maybe take those pictures and send them to Lou at Iturra Designs (also a good place to get blades and parts). Lou has forgotten more about bandsaws than most people will ever know. I'll bet he'll be able to tell you some more about your saw.

looks like a solidly made Taiwanese (not PRC) knock off design.
Probably made for generic sales, so it had no name.
