    Drill Press help needed

I just assembled my drill press (Delta DP400). The table moves to the left and right so easily that it makes repetative drilling impossible. I have tightened everything I can find. Am I missing something?

there should be a screw lock that tightens the split collar of the table support to the column.
The screw enters one side (unthreaded, thru-clearance hole) and screws to the threaded side on the other side of the split. It pulls the split together and locks the table in place.

Sometimes, people assemble it backwards inserting the screw into the threaded side first and then when they tighten it it does not pull the split together to lock the table to the column. I have heard of this error more than once and they always think because the screw is tight it should not move.

I'll bet that's what you did.

This is a picture of my Jet but the Delta should be identical. The locking lever is in the back and opposite the elevation crank.

That's a pretty common layout. Not sure if I have seen it done differently...
