Thinking it used to be stored in the basement and is now stored in the garage...hence, restored.

The listing states "great shape restored". You missed two words in the listing, "great shape when its restored." The poster typed it out too quickly.

Now now you guys, who's to say what it looked like before he put that sticker on it.

My guess would be new motor (maybe), belt, and blade. Voilá - restored!

band saw is 93 years old. Was restored in 1942. I can't help what it looks like now but really, it was restored in 1942. If you don't believe me, just go ask my great great grandfather, he did the work himself.

hehe, that's what I was thinking.

I'll see some cars like that too. A 40yo car being listed as restored... but it needs it again because the last restoration was 15 years ago.

It's restored now...it's the best that could be done...you should have seen it before.

Seriously, that was my thoughts. It's hard to tell from the crappy little picture, but the working parts might be in great shape. Who cares about the color, etc...

It was in storage once, I got it out for a little bit but then re-stored it cause it was taking up space.

I dunno, rust may be a color to some but in this case rust is a condition.

If that's really rust, then I retract my statement. But I can't tell from that crappy tiny little picture -- to me it looked like an aged brownish paint job. The table certainly doesn't look like that and you'd think that would be the first thing to rust...
