clever, maybe great for an aprtment dweller for ocassional use, but i find that in general all-in one tools and battery operated tools fall short in terms of power, operating time, capacity and accuracy. Another prime concern is battery lifetime, (as opposed to operating time). Batteries eventually die so having a $470 tool rendered useless by failed batteries is an eventual possibility - in a few years. repair might be expensive or impossible if the manufacturer goes out of business. At least corded tools can reasonably be expected to have a 10- or 20 year life for your investment.

And sure is a lot of plastic there.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

I would have ordered but it doesn't make Julienne Fries.

I'm still holding out to see if they'll throw in the pocket fisherman.

This thing reminds me of the X shop that Skil came out with not too long ago. While nice for a garage, it did not look like that thing could do anything very well. What it seemed to give you was a bunch of medicore tools (drill press, scroll saw, belt sander, table saw, and router table) all in one package, but none of them worked that well. This thing is an even smaller version of the X shop and that fact that it is battery powered means it might do one or two funtions per charge. It just looks like a gimic.
