    Bad Habit

    that I'm into is that whenever I do a Honey-Do job, or work at My Daughters, or on the

    car. I make up a bag of parts and tools and carry them to the job, when I get thru I just

    drop them into an extra closet in Our entryway. I alway seem to take out the power tools

    and put them away. I have been doing this forever and the closet is full. It is almost like

    Christmas in that I'm excited about the many duplicates that I now have of many hand

    tools. That is not counting the extra hardware, screws and nails that I now have. Does

    anyone else do this? Bill

      Not me, I'm wayyyy to anal! On the bright side, I always know where my stuff is and never have to go on a hunting trip to search for a specific tool.

          LOML says that if I don't empty the closet that She will know where the tools are.

              Bill,

              She will but will you? Or, is that her point? I'm thinking I know the answer to that by your capitalizing "She" in the middle of a sentence.

                  get's kind of expensive, doesn't it, Bill?
                  I keep a big roll-around in my shop with all my good handtools and a travelling carry toolbox with more or less a fullset of common tools in maybe cheaper (or found on sale) and extra tools for when i go to the kid's or parent's places to fix stuff.

                  If I need anything special I'll take it too.

                          There are times when I tend to leave a trail around the house. Then, every so often, I find a little "care" package waiting for me just inside the shop door.

                              Whenever I clean my shop it is like Christmas... I don't dump tools in the closet, I dump them in my shop.

                                  I got into the habit of making sure tools got returned to the tool box...maybe not in their correct place immediately, but in the box none the less. It was a lesson learned way back during installations, that if a tool was used and set down someplace, it may get left there. DAMHIKT
