Mini Max S45

Hello everyone,

I have inherited a Mini Max S45 bandsaw. Relatively never used. I now have her in my wood shop, however I have no manual and no Band Saw Blade. Additionally, I can not find out what size blade is required. I believe it might be 143" but not sure. Also could anyone tell me what the max width for this machine might be as well?

I have looked on the net and can not get an definitive answer to the size of the blade. Woodcraft and wood werks has no idea so I would appreciate any help that is offered. I have wore out a pair of shoes just wlaking around her.

Just a thought, run a string around the wheels through the path, and measure your distance on the string maybe?

Give the good folks at Suffolk Machinery a call at (800) 234-7297 and ask them their advice. They are the bandsaw blade gurus...

Take a piece of string and put it around the wheels the way a blade would go, mark the overlap point and then measure the string with your tape measure - that's your blade length.

Max width of what? Post pix and all info from every plate/sticker anywhere on the unit to hopefully give us someplace to start for other info.

Pretty sure it is 143", but don't quote me on that. Run your string, take your measurement, see if that is close. This is another reason that I keep a really long seamstress type measuring tape in my bench. Whether I could find it if I needed it.....is another story. That machine should also take up to a 1" width blade, IIRC.

strings too stretchy... I'd measure the wheel diameter, then the distance from wheel center to center (L).
The blade length is then (pi x D) + (2 x L)
