    New at Harbor Freight!

    I was just surfing the HF web site and came across this:

    10-IN-1 WOODWORKING MACHINE

    On sale:$1800!

    It has a 3 step pulley, plus variable speed; 32 rpm to 7200rpm! Allegedly capable of turning and milling metal, despite the name. Reading through the manual, it says to only use saw blades rated for 7200 RPM! That seems kinda high. And there seems to be an awful lot of ShopSmith influence (the adjustable casters are identical to the ones on my 1955 10ER, and I mean IDENTICAL!)

      It looks even closer to a clone of the Smithy SuperShop right down to the logo. Smithy has been selling their clone of the ShopSmith since 1987.
