    Lee Valley Clamp Really Sucks

I finally got to use the double sided vacuum clamp system from Lee Valley. I got the double sided model so I would be able to use the clamp at different locations. It works on a venturi driven by compressed air. You need at least 2 cfm at 80 psi.

I connected it with an inexpensive valve and pressure regulator from HF. A couple of bucks vs the $22 accessory offered.

I put the unit on my router table and a 12" by 12" piece of 3/4" plywood on top. I took a few second to charge up. Then I was able to pick the heavy router table up without the ply detaching.

It has made some difficult planing on small box lids easy. I had difficulty with a bench hook and feared for my blade with dogs.

I am really impressed by how well this little thing works.

      Steve,

Good news. How about a review in the reviews section? This kind of info might be helpful down the road to folks, and that section would make the info easier to find...
