Safety glasses over glasses

Can anyone recommend safety glasses that can fit over regular prescription glasses? I've been using a set I picked up locally that are not very comfortable, thus leading me to "forget" to use them. I realize that I can always purchase prescription safety glasses, but if there is a reasonably priced alternative, I'd prefer to go that route.

I have a couple pairs that came packaged with one or another power tools. They look like these ones. They fit fine over my glasses.

Not sure what type of glasses you wear (size, temple-thickness, nose-rest), but I use some I got a long time ago free with a PC nail gun that are similar to these:

I'm not sure I'd say they're exactly comfortable - but hard to imagine wearing any two sets of glasses as comfortable. Some of these may provide a better alternative:

When I asked essentially the same question a while back, I received several recommendations for the Eye Armor over-glasses. I never bought a pair because I eventually realized I could get by without wearing my corrective lenses in the shop.

Find out if your employer will help pay for safety glasses -
They should if there are areas at work where you are required to wear them. It's really much more convenient and you are more likely to have them on when working if have ones you wear all the time...

I finally broke down and ordered a pair of prescription saftey glasses. That way I CAN'T forget them! And my forgetter is working way to well these days :•(

Depending on the application, I would MUCH rather use a full face shield instead of safety glasses over glasses. Now if there were chemical issues at play I would definately go with safety goggles, but for everything I do in my shop, shield over glasses.

I finally purchased prescription safety glasses and they've been great.
If your prescription glasses are already polycarbonate then adding side shields will make them safety glasses, assuming they provide enough frontal coverage.
If you only need glasses for reading you can buy them with magnifiers built in

I use side shields when I have to go into the shop at work. The ones I use have B 52, Z87, and B 53 rating. I think it is the Z 87 that my employer requires. They are not the little slip on the temple pieces that you sometimes see. The are apparently made by SOS USA. I sometimes wish I had another pair for my shop at home.

I just bought these glasses that are currently on Amazon.com's best deals. They are the most comfortable glasses that I have had -- they fit over my glasses and my big head (7 3/4) with ease and they are non-fog! At $6.99 they are about half price.

Just a thought but any reason a shield couldn't be trimmed so the bottom would be about even with the tip of your nose? Still provide decent coverage for the eyes, be lighter, less likely to fog in cold weather, and cooler in hot temps.

I ended up getting a pair of RX safetyglasses on Dec 31st when my annual flex account allotment was about to expire. I know it wasn't you original question, but a`great year end use if any funds are about to expire.
