A New Addition To The Shop

I bought a Powermatic PWBS-14CS today. I went in to buy the Jet JWBS-14CS and by the time I added a rip fence and miter gauge I was within $150.00 of the Powermatic, from there it was a no brainer to step up to the Powermatic.

I'll pick it up tomorrow and hopefully get it set up over the weekend.

Congrats on the new bandsaw! From the reviews it looks like you got yourself a winner. Be sure to let us know what you think after some use.

dick, I thought you were space and budget limited, only had room for the benchtop craftsman unit. Did you move up - get more money and space? Tell us the story.

You've upgraded the bandsaw, aready. Next will be an 8" jointer to make sure the pen blanks are square...Then a 5' bed Oneway lathe...Then...

Yeah what's the story? I thought space was limited?

                  Nice score - I'm jealous.

Space is a bit tight but it's amazing what you can fit in when you want it. Notice that I said WANT not NEED.
I don't have any complaints with the 10" Craftsman but I got spoiled by my 14" Jet and decided I wouldn't be happy until I got a full sized saw again.
Assembled the mobile base today and ordered some Timberwolf blades, hope to finish the assembly tomorrow.
