bears a strong resemblance to the generic chinese-made jointer like the one Harbor Freight sells.
One key item is the jointing fence which extends all the way to the right, and positioning of the power switch and the nameplate at the base of the tables.

I saw one on craigslist that looked exactly like this. Brandname was Transpower. But as LCHIEN said, also looks like HF and probably made in the same factory in China. IMHO, that doesn't make it bad. If it will flatten a board and joint an edge, its a winner.

It's probably the same one. Was it in Chula Vista. I called but the guy didn't know what brand it was. I saw green and thought it might be Grizzly. Guess not

The HF has flat, rectangular sheet metal base that's angled out at the bottom. Makes it look trapezoidal if the pic is taken slightly from above.

I think our right Lchien, It looks to be a 8'' RABBETING JOINTER.

The pic says 6" jointer from what I can see, and it looks like a Central Machinery/HF machine, or other close clone. Prolly worth in the $100 range if in good condition, if you're looking to buy it.

more likely the 6" (or they call it 7" but that may be a stretch), judge from the length of the vertical fence relative to the red blade guard. Apparently they use the same vertical fence for both, but the 8" bed is longer. You can see in the pic of the 8" its much shorter than in the pics of the 7" and our pic.I think our right Lchien, It looks to be a 8'' RABBETING JOINTER.
