Excellent way to "fine-tune" keeping the sanding drum parallel to the feed bed.

Drum attachment: 1/4-20 bolts into tapped holes in the drum shroud.

All knobs: 1/4-20 studs into tee-nuts.

NOTE: No MDF was used in the construction of this item!

Sorry to dredge up another old post (must be my day for it). I just acquired a "gently used" Ryobi 1600 drum sander from Craigslist. I found other related links while researching it. This one definitely intrigued me but the link is broken. Rod, if you read this, is there a possibility you could repost the pictures of your support attachment?

    Thanks,

    Russell

Has anyone noticed that the zinc plating on Ron's sander has been polished to a mirror-like finish. I have the same sander, my zinc is dull and flat. I feel so inferior.

Dont! It's as delivered. I would have preferred "dull"

Thanks Rod, that's just what I was looking for!

DB, thanks for the kind offer but I've been watching for a drum sander for the past year and finally found this one locally. Granted, all I've managed this weekend was to start it up. I still have to make a home for it.
