    Best tool ever?

OK - so excluding the BT, what tool in your shop do you consider to be the most useful when compared to the low price that you spent on it?

And then to make it interesting, what tool is the least useful based on the high price that you spent on it?

Example - my "MOST VALUEABLE" tool is my 12 inch dual laser Delta CMS, $219 on AMazon a couple of years ago, ultra precise, I would spend twice that for the saw if need be.

My worst value is my Porter Cable Biscuit cutter, I love the thing when I need it, but I never manage to use it.

My most useful tool other than the bt3 would be either my ryobi impact driver, or my cheapo $88 Delta CMS.

Not sure what my least useful tool is. Got some tools that are aweful useful when they're needed but not needed very often.

I have two other very useful tools and one is needed to use the other. Ryobi 18v drill/driver and Miller doweling bit.

Least useful, Delta scrollsaw. I just don't use it.

Most useful has to be my 12" crafstman professional ratcheting bar clamps. Besides the obvious , these things have been a lifesaver when needing a third hand, reversed as a spreader they can be used to level cabinets, push some cupped/bowed/warped studs back in position etc...in fact I'm using 6 right now in spreader mode to assist in pushing some laminate flooring tongue and groove together nice and tight while the adhesive dries. never would have gotten as snug a fit w/o them. Indispensible IMHO.

Don't have a scrollsaw so can't vote for that as my most regrettable purchase but my rotozip probably takes that award. I guess I was a sucker when I saw the 80yr old lady renovate a bathroom with it under two minutes on the infomercial.

            I would say 3 tools

Drill, both my Ryobi Electric w clutch$40 and Cordless Ridgid 18v $100 (they count as 1)

My Nailers and compressor (also as 1)

Bandsaw Ridgid for $150.00 + mods

I take my miter saw for granted

After the BT, Delta mortiser. Least useful, the Ryobi scrollsaw, only used it twice.

                  What? Nobody listed a router?
I don't have many tools and some of those few are old and need replaced. If I ever get my router table finished I'm sure it will get as much use as the BT3100.

Least used is my old hand plane.
Why doesn't the word 'planing' show up in my computer spell check?

Hmm after much consideration I'd have to say the the best value for the price is a screwdriver. Seems like I'm always reaching for one. As for the worst value maybe the rollaway. After all it never builds or fixes anything.

I'm not sure what to say to this question. My most used tool is my cordless drill. My second is my SCMS (makita), 3rd is the BT.

Jointer is up there as well. hmm.......
Ok, my best tool is my helper, my wife, without her I couldn't build anything.

I'd have to say the most useful tool in my shop is that gray thing between my ears, that I call my brain.

Just kidding. It's a tie between my Stanley block plane, and my Makita cordless drill/driver. The block plane probably wins because of the low price.

Can't really think of a useless tool. (Yeah, I know, "Hey, what about that gray thing between your ears?!" Real funny! ).

                        Regards,
                        Tom

Tool I use the most: Bench Grinder/Wire Brush

Tool I use the least: Thickness Planer

Biggest tool in my shop: ME!
...eight, nine, TEN! Yep! Still got all my fingers!

my pencil is the most used tool in my shop. I probably use my cordless drill more then any other power tool.
