    Multi-quote reply?

I thought I could reply to multiple people at one time in a thread but either I'm not clicking on the right buttons, the option no longer exists, or I'm mis-remembering.

    Can I do this?

It may be your computer. Most people have a script/icon on the bottom right of a post that allows a response WITHIN that post. A few have replied to me that way but that ability has never appeared in my browsers (three). Why it shows up on most and not on others (mine) is a mystery to me. We discussed this briefly several years ago but no clear answer for me.

As to your question, I would like to see what the answer is.

I no longer see it either. However if you know the coding or markup language you can still do it by cut/paste.

Copy/paste is what I ended up doing in the birthday thread. Click reply to one poster, copy everything, and then cancel. Then click reply to another poster and paste from the previous reply. Not as slick as it was, but it works

So to do it insert (quote=username) quote phrase from cut/pastes (/quote) only use the square brackets "[ code ]" instead of parenthesis.

        That's what I do.
I usually edit down the quoted text to the relevant parts and put in ellipses (...) for the omitted parts that are not pertinent to the answer I am making.

That is basically what I do manually.
