    Why the delay

Why does a Moderator need to approve my posts before they are visible. To me it makes it hard to communicate with others on the board and makes me look unconcerned. First forum that I have ever found that had this.

Gary, this isn't a reflection on you in particular. It is a newly implemented device to help with a recent spam/porn free for all across the forum. I am not sure how many posts you have to make before this is lifted, but perhaps Mark or Sam will fill you in better.
Welcome aboard, BTW. My apologies for the inconvenience.

I figured there was some good reason or at least a reason for it.

Yeah, don't go away Gary. It isn't that we don't like newcomers, just had some terrible porn problems lately. I'm thinking they'll fix your account any time now.

Gary, you should be good to go now. We have a mininum post count of 5 to move a new member out of requiring moderation. As Lee mentioned this was implemented to help rid our forum of noxious porn spam and spam in general. It seemed and still seems as a common sense approach to forum administration. With this in place we should be able to keep this place clean and eliminate disruptions to our community.

Seems like an easy way to keep things clean and sanitary. Not a problem just curious.

Mike, if you saw his other post (pics of his shop) he's got a very pretty (looks brand new) grizz cabinet saw and a lovely clean new shop. The stuff is either all new or this Gary is more OCD than our Rod K.

Gary, welcome to the forum no matter what saw you have. Nice shop, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Welcome aboard, Gary! Pull up a chair and tell us all about this brand new shop so we can come over and drop off some sawdust!

The Grizzly is actually a 2002 I bought used this year. The dust on the floor is hidden by the glow from the lights I guess. I do try to keep it clean as I don't have a Dust Collector yet so dust free as possible is in order. I can always use another place to come to for advice and information. With this place and Saw Mill Creek as well as my Fishing and Boating sites I should keep myself informed.

Nope I saw this one before seeing the shop pictures. So my advice is still half right as opposed to half Oh never mind. There really is a treasure trove worth of information in the archives and old posts. He probably won't need the BT3K stuff.
