There is a chain in Columbus called "Greaters" they have been featured in USA today several times, I used to live across the street from one, I practically lived there when I was pregnant. They have chocolate chunks as big as quarters in their chocolate ice cream!

Also as far as store bought goes MOOSE TRACKS. Chris gets REAL mad when I eat all of the little penutbutter things out of it and put the icecream back in the freezer.

    Go Buckeyes!

Now you guys got me wondering about Blue Bell. I wonder if it can be ordered online or M/O. I'd like to eat some up. Black walnut sounds extra nice.

                    that's too easy.

                    http://www.bluebell.com/

                    Their mottos are,
"Made from the milk of contented cows", and,
"We eat all we can and we sell the rest".

from an article on the 'net
                    quote:
Since 1989, Blue Bell has added branches outside of
Texas so that the ice cream is now available in 12 states.

Blue Bell ice cream, which Newsweek labeled as "a Texas institution" and Sports Illustrated said was "the best ice cream on earth," is not yet available as far north as Washington, D.C. and Maryland. So Texans Laura and George W. Bush have four half-gallons Fed-Exed every other week to Camp David. The 41st President has had it sent to Kennebunkport, Maine.

Blue Bell has that aura of desirability and regional unavailability that was once accorded to Coors beer, for instance.

Here's a place that will deliver two half gallons for $90, and in somewhat limited choice of flavors (but they may be able to get others on request). Like they say, shipping ice cream is complicated. There are others... do a google search for blue bell ice cream delivery

                    http://www.foodlocker.com/blubelicecre1.html

It sure is good but $90???? here at the local stores it goes for $4-5 a half-gallon when not on sale.

hmmm, I think I'll have some.

Ya know, I love my Blue Bell when it's on sale for 2 for $5.99, but I think I would have to pass @ 2 for $90....I'm not sure it's quite THAT good....
