    My almost done creekside workshop

Greetings all, because I no longer even own a Dremel, and have settled in the south (I hope for a long time) I am dropping my “Doctordremel” ID and going to be the “Ex-Yankee”. And I’d thought to give an update and the shop by the creek project. Well, at least a month later than I ever thought it might take; I finally got my workshop closed up. I hung the salvaged patio door and installed the lock today.
This is a panorama from the front door.

I Picked up a second BT3100 locally and dedicated the left head for dado work. The base is mostly an old entertainment center with a riser platform to bring it up to normal height.

The offfeed table serves double duty as an assembly table. The wood lathe is only there temporarily until I build a stand for it.

Most of the creek sidewall is a long miter saw bench and parts center.
All the side benches are at the same height as the Frankensaw, that lets me support long crosscuts on the miter bench.

I went and bought a gazillion cheapo plastic food tubs to sort all my odds and ends out.

Well we are off for a week to Orlando and will look forward to being back on the forum when I return.

    John

Now that is going to be a SHOP! I think it's big enough to sub divide and rent out space.

Looks like you may be doing some serious woodworking with a setup like that.

I don't think I like you very much by either name![)]

The 'Playpen' and the attached workdeck would fit along the end wall and still leave you more shop are than most of us have!

Looks great, John! You could spend some serious time in there. Do you have any before-and-after pics of the outside? (So we can turn even greener....)

Great shop, John. Like the others, I'm jealous!
BTW, there's no such thing as an 'Ex-Yankee', as all Southerners know. It's just that some immigrants qualify for Green Cards, and some never do. Enjoy the South.

We survived a week of rain in Florida, and are back working on the shop. I stopped north of Gainesville at a mill and picked up about 40 BF of cypress off cuts for $35, mostly 1x6 and 1x8 but some nice 8/4 as well.
jethro asked for some before and after shots so here we are.
The door and windows were from the Habitat for Humanity, store, The door was part fo a french door set so I will add a like door in the rear to get to the DC bumpout.

Thanks, John. I'm as green as expected. It's a good thing you made those creekside windows fairly small; otherwise you'd spend all your time sitting by the window.

I got the mfor $30 each, and set them at eye ht. There are 3 on the hill side as well to let in more light. The north side (with the door) has a opening paneled up to allow a future 44" barn door and windoow to get projects out of the shop.

                              On another note"
Has anyone any experience with spray on polyerethane insulation? I have 32" rafters and insulating with fiberglass will be a challenge. I have a quote for the 16x24 shop, ceilings and walls of $1150 for 1" R11 claimed and $1700 for 2" R14. I hope it would cut the tin roof noise (in and out) and look halfway decent so I would'nt have to sheetrock. The other option is ridgid 2" foam but I cant find a supplier around Nashville.
