    1 munute separator

I finally got around to getting a 30 gal galvanized trashcan to put my woodcraft separator lid on. The lid fit perfectly.

I wish I could have gotten more than a minute of use out of the $25 can.

Anybody in the market for a slightly imploded galvanized can?

Bang it back into shape and crossbrace it with some 2x4 studs , But that is pretty funny.

service bulletin for trash can seperator lid

one brand of trash can separator lid has a service bulletin which recommends drillling a 3/4 inch hole in the lid to prevent crushing the can.

Did you forget to open a blast gate?

Well, if nothing else, it's pretty obvious your vacuum sucks. Which is of course, the whole point...

Why not just reverse the flow on the vac? Just be sure to video it while it happens.

Reverse the hoses and blow it back into shape. That is where you may want to think about a stronger can or a different separator.

Take the can back to the store for a refund and claim that you didn't notice the dents until you got it home.

                            I considered returning it.

Wasn't a blast gate ot anything like that. I laid the working end of the hose down to adjust the other hose position. The end I was using on the hose while testing it out was this claw shape that has a flat end. It sucked against my floor mat and within seconds there was a nasty metal sound.
