So the thread on compressor habits leads me to think of a check list for shutting down the shop for the day (or night)
Whats on your list?
Do you have a written checklist?
My usual (mental) check list
Unplug all portable air tools and put away
Unplug portable electrical tools and put away
Put away hand tools and measuring devices
Loosen the tension on the bandsaw blade
Leave the Air cleaner running for a couple of hours on timer
Clear nozzle of any spray can products used
Close top on any cans of paint/finish & place brushes in plastic baggies
Close glue bottles.
Shut off the compressor (and maybe drain it and release pressure)
Turn of task lights
Turn off the fan and ceiling lights
Close and lock the door.
Since I'm the only one to go in the shop, it's locked and no kids, I don't
unplug all stationary power tools
and remove all locking switch keys.
