    its a dust collection pan with a 4" hose connection, mine came with the HF dust collection starter kit but you can get them at most any woodworking store.

        the base is 24 x 36, IIRC, and it comes with wheels.
        The noise is quieter than the saw, and quieter than the shop vac I used to use. More important is the frequency of the noise, it has a low rumble, much more tolerable than the shop vac screaming.

            Hi Loring

            This gives me some good ideas for my "new" acquisition.

            Will have to use a shop vac though as the DC is in the basement.
