... did you do this from your head or did you get a plan somewhere. I'd like to build something very similar in my "one" car garage, but I'd probably need a plan to make the frame and drawers etc seeing I'm not a cabinet maker by a long shot.
Ray, before I had any idea what I was doing I built the New Yankee one-car garage project. It has a long workbench with flip-up surface and upper cabinets, all similar to rsj's setup. There is also a mobile cart with two work surfaces.
I learned to do dadoes, box joints for drawers, how to modify plans to fit the need, and lots more. It's a big project, but really can get you going.
When you finally complete the cabinet system for your shop, could you post additional pics.. I am going to use it as a model for what me wife wants and maybe use it too for justifying additional tools.
Thanks,
Chris D.

I have been busy doing other things on the outside of the house, so I have not had time to update you on the progress. I was able to epoxy the floor this Christmas Holiday. So here are some updates on the shop, I have since started to bring in some of the tools back. I will post pictures after I bring in all my tools.
Neat! Did you do the floor epoxy yourself, and if so, what product did you use and would you do it differently? Asking because I'm trying to decide how to do my shop floor this summer.

Measure it with a micrometer...
Mark it with a crayon...
Cut it with a chain saw!

Yes, I did it my self. I used Rustoleum Epoxy Shield. I would not do anything different. I put the epoxy and then 2 coats of clear, I wanted some shine to it. The clear did not make it slippery because of the vinyl chips. I added a lot more chips than it came with, I ordered the chips online at http://www.originalcolorchips.com
WOW!!! the whole garage looks amazing! i mad the mistake to show my wife the pictures, and she asked me: why cant our garage be that clean!?!
you built some really awesome cabinets. the colors are great and the epoxy floor is really neat. i like the cabinet crown detail. did you build the molding for the crown yourself or did you just buy the molding?
