Pretty cool design. I could use something like that, but I don't have any wall space left.

Good basic design, I looked at it pretty carefully and would suggest the following changes.

        1. Use Continous (Piano) hinges, rather than a bunch of short ones.

        2. Consider using Window hardware latches to keep the sections closed, much more secure than a magnetic latch.

        3. install guide pins in the edge of the cabinet to transfer the weight back to the base unit when it's all closed up. These could be 3/8" dowel rod that stick out about 3/8" and mates with a 3/8" Chamfered hole in the Frame behind it. You'd only need one in each sub-frame to steady/secure the unhinged side of the frame to keep it from moving vertically.

        4. Consider using 3/4" Baltic Birch for the slotted horizontal members. This might eliminate the need for the braces between each pair of slots.

Hey, T-man, you got a case of the stutters this morning? Four copies of the same post?

Tundraman's stuttering cause it's c-c-c-cold up in Tundraland.

I sent him some of this FL weather, but it went FEDEX and probably got opened somewhere else.

Thanks for posting! The rack looks great. Design is simple and should not be that hard for a newbie like me to copy.
