Meet my new sander! Well, not really new, it’s a 1986 Shopsmith MKV that I found at a pawn shop. I need a sander that I can sit in my comfortable chair and finish sand my Tiny Trees and Mushrooms that I have added to the inventory I’m selling besides the Tiny Tables.
The stand had to go, along with the pipe framework and other non needed accessories so it could be attached to a mobile cabinet. It will create quite a dust storm but the 2 four inch vacuum hoses suck it all up. After I figure the ideal pick up locations I will build a vacuum manifold system for it and connect it straight to the 6” vacuum line. After running it for a dozen or more hours several of the bearing started howling, dried out from 20+ years sitting in a dusty old barn. Opened it up and pour in new bearings and it’s a good as new.
