Switch is bad. I don’t want to put any more money into it. Will sell for parts.

I just moved to FL but a bit far from Orlando. A coworker lives in Orlando and trying to see if he has any plans to come to South FL. How much does the switch cost and where would one find it?

If you can't find a switch, I've used this item on a number of stationary tools and seen them used on BT3's as a replacement. $29.99

I think I saw them on eBay for under $20.

I think the original switch which often failed as described is no longer available 15+ years after the saw was discontinued. But a DIYer can easily replace it with another tool switch as the above posts suggest.

There was indeed a recall on the original switch and the replacement was a rocker style instead of the original push buttons.

Several of the switches were recalled or had problems.
The original BT3000 red/green pushbutton that is quite rare because it only lasted a year before they changed it.
Some of the early BT3100s had a switch problem.

I moved on from the BT3000. It’s in the way in my shed. I’ll take $50 for it.

You don't meet a lot of honest salesmen like that.

If I had room for it…. I recently bought one with all the accessories for $75 because it bogged and stalled on simple cuts. I replaced the brushes from a parts saw and it runs like a champ.
