Parting out BT3100 - last call

Here's whats left. I will be at the Woodcraft in Columbus on June 20th for their Swap Meet with anything that is left, plus some other tools (router, lathe, etc). The last day I will keep ANY of this is June 21st, Father's day. After that, I will throw it away because I don't need it, can't use it, and nobody wanted it.

Several people have emailed asking about items, but have not followed up. If you're still interested in them (fence, sliding table, rails), I advise you to email/pm me this week.

Original SharkGuard splitter & hold down (slot-tab design) - no actual Shark - $20:

Fence mounting blocks - set of 4, milled aluminum, with screws - $20.
    http://wilsonmanorcrafts.com/saw/IMG_4485.JPG

One UNUSED Ryobi dado/zero clearance plate, and one REALLY used plate, With instructions - $15:

Original metal plate and dado plate. Original plate is slightly used, dado is not. With instructions - $15.
    http://wilsonmanorcrafts.com/saw/IMG_4494.JPG

Full rails, 41" long, front and back - $45: NOTE: If you want HALF rails, I can cut these down and sell the half's for $30 each.
    http://wilsonmanorcrafts.com/saw/IMG_4500.JPG

Sliding table, in good working shape, but a little grungy - $35:
    http://wilsonmanorcrafts.com/saw/IMG_4503.JPG

Extra "fence tube" - can be used as an extra long miter fence - $15:
    http://wilsonmanorcrafts.com/saw/IMG_4498.JPG

The saw itself. Since my saw was built into a rolling base, I had removed the left panel and put in a custom access design from MDF. The panel has long since been lost/given away. The back of the saw was also closed up with a box to handle dust collection, with the MDF glued right onto the saw body. So yes, that's icky.
However, the rest of the saw is intact. The dust shroud, motor, belt, lifting mech, handle, switch, etc, etc.
So for the saw itself, if you want a SPECIFIC part or the WHOLE THING AS-IS , you need to let me know ASAP and Make An Offer before someone else buys a bit before you do or I toss it.

The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low cost is forgotten!

First, received order today. Thank you

Second, what did you use the fence mounting blocks for? I told my neighbor about some parts, so I am supposed to show him this list tomorrow (he isn't online).

        Thanks
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

final, is that fence tube the same as the rip fence tube, in length? or is it longer???
Ryobi did sell an extra-long length of fence at one time.
          How long is it?
          Loring in Katy, TX USA

The Ryobi long rip fence is the same length as the rails, and it has no holes. I don't think those holes in the photo correspond with the regular fence holes though.

The fence blocks (which will also work on the miter fence) provide a solid mounting surface for sub-fences. On my saw, I had a piece of UHMW mounted using that, and when I needed it, I swapped it out using the 2nd set with a sacrificial fence. The blocks are milled to slide into the top channel of the fence, and there are two rubber-faced hex head screws on them that you tighten down.

It's the same length as the fence tube, 23". I have never actually tried using it as a long miter fence myself. As for the hole, what is shown on the picture is what you would mount the tail into; the head are on the other side. If you wanted to mount your existing black plastic tips, you'd have to drill the matching holes at either end. But if you look at all the other aftermarket miter fence (Kreg, Jessem, etc), they are all squared off pieces of channel stuff.

                  Looking for a Motor

Hey I'm looking for a BT3100 motor so I can upgrade my BT3000. I have the old version of the BT3000 with the brush access on the back of the motor instead of the round brush caps. I have brushes that are half worn, and more importantly, the height screw has stripped out the aluminum casting on the outside of the motor. The part is obsolete...so I'm trying to upgrade.

                  Any help?

You might try a helicoil on the stripped threads. I've had great results with them on a few stripped aluminum intake manifolds.

Get thee to an auto parts store and grab a Helicoil kit. Stripped threads is REAL common on aluminum components. Actually once the helicoil is in, it should be stronger than new.

If they suggested auto parts store fix doesn't do it for you, I still have the motor - was going to put it on ebay but been sick.

Sorry, I thought I saw the motor was gone...

If the requester has the 13 amp model, the BT3100 motor is a GREAT upgrade... Get more power, and no shim problems to boot!

                            Follow up

Thanks guys, I've considered the helicoil route, and am still waying my options. I would really like to upgrade to the 3100 guide with spring shims and not have to worry about the shims too. With brushes about half gone, I can't help but wonder if I'm not delaying the inevitable move to something more modern.

Any idea where to get the old style brushes? The "new" style has the circular holder, the old is a rectangle and much smaller.
