Since there hasn't been much traffic/postings on the site lately I figured I might as well show my most recent woodworking project.
I finally made something in the shop rather than building something for the shop: a musical jewelry box for a dear friend's oldest daughter who just graduated from college. Cherry with hard maple accents. Two central drawers, a tray/box area above them, and hinged compartments on each end for necklaces and/or bracelets. She, and her siblings, always liked visiting "Uncle Mike's shop" when they were in town. She likes my lathe so I had to include turned pieces: the maple handles.
