I completed this for my grandaughter's Birthday (Dec 22) and Christmas this year.
I looked up some ideas on the internet, basically I got the height (54 inches) and angle (10° per side) and the idea of feeding the paper from a slot from some plans and then made my own design.
Found some 2'x4' sheet goods at home depot with chalk board on one side and white erase board on the other side, one of my daughter's requests.
So it folds for storage and has white board/chalk board sides. It has a roll paper holder and a magnet to hold the paper in place. And it has trays for storage of the art materials while working.
A lot of ripping, stopped dadoes for the white board and tray, some pocket screws, a wooden hinge at the top, and some 1/4-20 threaded inserts here and there.
More pictures and larger in the attachments you can click on.
I did learn something... what a linchpin is, I was looking for a hitch pin clip to secure the end of the pipe holding the roll of paper. could not find the size I needed, and I found this linchpin at the hardware store.
As always a couple of minor goofs, some things I would have done differently. And the darn idea I took of feeding the paper into the slot at top is impossible without three hands... you need help.
Also given the 24" whiteboard panels 23.5" with dadoes is the width, Art paper rolls come in 24", 17.5 and 12" none in between.
