A sample of the Greene and Greene inspired clock

This is a clock I designed for my children. I'm making 7 of them and this is one of the finished ones. It's all walnut including the black pieces that I ebonized. They have a Seiko movement.

ha clock looks good. Kids should be happy to get a limited edition dad-built G&G clock.

Want to make pics look professional, set the time to 10:10. That's what all pro and serious clock and watch photographers do. Look at any professional clock sales flyers/ads/websites. For instance:

That looks great. Did you design the clock face or is it from a kit?

Really excellent work! Making heirlooms is pure joy in the shop! Just imagining the family you will never meet that will enjoy your work ... well done!

That looks great! Reminds me of this one I saw in Wood magazine some time ago, but prefer your accents with the "cloud lifts" in the front. Your kids will really enjoy those - make sure you leave a special mark, signature, or note from you on it. I plan to make something similar in the future - thanks for sharing!

              Sweet Willy,

I like you clocks, good idea for family gifts. They are a lot better idea for family heirlooms than tables, lamps, bed frames and other potential "clutter" that we can build and saddle our future with!

Are the seiko movements wind up or battery? Did you find a deal on them?

Thanks guys for all your neat comments.

trungdok - The clock mechanism is battery operated. Can't remember where I ordered them from but a google search for seiko clocks is how you can find them.

The face, hands and pendulum I ordered from a place in Canada. Again, just google clock faces and you'll find more then you need.

Capancarl - They're really inexpensive. Not even $10 each. I looked at mechanical movements and the least expensive movement worth buying was over $320. Making 7 clocks put them over $2,100. Too expensive for my budget.

                    Bill - That's the clock I got my inspiration from. : )

atgcpaul - ordered it from a supply house in Canada. Don't remember the name. Sorry.
