Thank you rcp for the added info.
I guess there wouldn't be a need to slide out the tower very often anyway so I may leave that one as just a shelf.
It looks like a lot of raised panels and fine woodworking.
And, considering the complexity of such a project, I am now even more impressed.
      Interesting avitar too!
Hope you are enjoying this great....hot...Ohio weather.

Why doesn't the word 'planing' show up in my computer spell check?

Very nicely done and sorry to any projects I have missed and didn't comment on in the last two weeks. I have been very busy working the IWF Show here in Atlanta before and during the Show that just closed.

That's a pretty nice computer desk. Desks are just complex projects, they always seem to take a lot of time. Well done!

Beautiful job on the desk. I've always wanted a roll top and it looks like you did a beautiful job on yours. Was the roll top difficult??

Tha tambour itself came from Rockler and I would highly recommend it. It was very well constructed of extremely clear white oak.
The channels in the sides were fairly easy to route after a template was made and adjusted to work with a guide bushing.

I have the strongest feeling the photos do not do the piece justice. Excellent design, and execution. You have created a piece your grandchildren can be proud of!
