My Dad purchased this bench, as surplus, from the Des Moines Vocational High School in 1953-55. I diassembled, sanded, repaired, and pur 5 coats of Waterlox on each piece, then reassembled. It turned out so nice it is now in the dining room instead of the shop. Oh well!

I do have another bench. The reason for redoing this one was to move the piles of stuff off my bench so I could use it. I guess iwill have to bring the workmates in and put a piece of plywood on them for the piles of projects.Often in error - Never in doubt

Or as an alternative as your bench has been "donated" to the dining room you should say to LOYL that you need all the materials for a new shop bench....Jon
