    Work Bench

My Dad purchased this bench, as surplus, from the Des Moines Vocational High School in 1953-55. I diassembled, sanded, repaired, and pur 5 coats of Waterlox on each piece, then reassembled. It turned out so nice it is now in the dining room instead of the shop. Oh well!

That looks fantastic. I am sure it will be a great conversation starter at many future dinners.

I can't believe nobody else has mentioned that this is obviously a subversive maneuver to convert the dining room into shop space.

I do have another bench. The reason for redoing this one was to move the piles of stuff off my bench so I could use it. I guess iwill have to bring the workmates in and put a piece of plywood on them for the piles of projects.

Not really I cant convince the LOML that cars don't need to be in the garage, let alone creep in to the house.

Or as an alternative as your bench has been "donated" to the dining room you should say to LOYL that you need all the materials for a new shop bench....
