Your craftsmanship looks good in spite of the color. I'm not a big fan of red tones either but sometimes it deos look good.

Great job. They look good all around. I actually like the colors. Pie safe's are typically natural, but I like it. The shorter cabinet is unquie as well.

LOML would like that. And so do I. Nice work.

Hehe...actually I think she is going to use them to house tea...hence the asian influence.

I LOVE my grizzly tools. I have a Grizzly left tilt cabinet saw, 14" band saw w/riser block, disc sander and of course the 8" jointer you see in the picture.

I would highly recommend each one of those. Some of the stuff Grizzly makes isn't great, but the stuff I have is awesome. You just have to do your research. Like I wouldn't buy a lathe from them as their lathes kinda blow. I would go Jet or if you had money to burn Oneway.

Someone asked what finishing procedures I used, so here they are.

              -I sanded to 320 grit.

-Sprayed the piece with two or three coats Target Coatings USL (very nice lacquer) to seal it. lightly sanding with 320 in between

-Sprayed about 3 coats of that red paint in light coats...the paint was 100% acrylic...sprayed beautifully

-Sprayed 2 to 3 coats of Target Coatings Superclear polyurethane as a top coat...scuff sanding with 320 in between coats if needed

I almost forgot to mention on the finish. I used some retarder in each of the liquids and that helped thin the paint a little to make it sprayable.

I got most of my finshing supplies from http://www.targetcoatings.com/.

They have very high quality nice stuff.
