Looks great. It's ironic that you were determined to follow the plans exactly and found a mistake in them with the drawer pull.

I also like the looks of your creation! I am not really surprised that there was a flaw in the plans as it seems just about every issue of ww rags there is a correction of a previous months project! Reading you post I also though that the lower knob would have been easy to do with a hanger bolt. That said a dowell and glue should be just fine given that you will probabaly not use that knob in normal use.

                  Thanks again folks.
eezlock, Sealcoat is dewaxed Shellac. Oil based finishes don't like to stick to normal waxed shellac.
I use Sealcoat on almost every flat project now. It adds a very slight light amber tone and reduces the number of finish coats needed.

VCR tapes? Haven't most of those crumbled to dust yet?

That looks really good, and more media storage is always nice.

I bought an LCD a couple weeks ago and have been kicking around what to do since having it sit on top (above a REALLY heavy 35" CRT) is not an optimal long term solution... Wall mounting and freestanding storage unit might be a good approach.
