Replacement improved (metal not plastic) Roller holders to fix rip fence on your BT3

Really one part broke in 25 years on my BT3000 from ordinary use - that the plastic roller holder found at the back end of the rip fence and is responsible for carrying the roller on which the fence glides sideways, and the clamper pivot which transfer teh lock force from the handle at teh front to the clamper. The original is black plastic and over time just fractured.

I replaced mine with a metal one that wont break. Machined, it looks different but fits in all the right places.
Here is one just the holder, you have to transfer the existing roller, clamper and a couple of pins to the new one and install on the fence.

I have one of these as well. My original stress fractured (plastic) and I found these on eBay. Seller is top notch and the product is hard to beat. Assembly of the bare unit is a bit of a pain, might want to go for the assembled piece instead... That roll pin is REALLY hard to drive in there!

    Complete roller holder assembly.

The seller also has the eccentric roller for the handle end of the fence.

And the miter fence clamp / holder.

Couldn't agree more. I have the tail piece, AND the miter fence clamp. BOTH are awesome upgrades. Wish he made a control / elevation wheel replacement piece his stuff is top notch.
    Working...
