I've posted it here because its of general interest.

Unfortunately, the BT3000 used a unique shaft end to mount the BT3000-2100 handwheels. I believe it was an oval shaped recess in the handwheel with a 1/4-20 Phillips head screw through the center of the handwheel holding it on.

I have to admit, I've never had mine off to look at it. Anecdotally I have heard the screw is tight and may be loc-tited.

However, its odd shape precludes using one of the many, many handwheels with 1/2" or 12mm holes and set screws.

In the Sears versions, like the 22811, I believe they used an adapter to put a normal handwheel on - but that adapter is no longer available for a long time.

So the most straightforward solution to a broken handwheel is to buy one on eBay from a parted out saw. I quick look at eBay shows around $2 for a used on, about the same cost as the one you listed from Amazon that won't fit.

The other solution is to make and adapter from the BT3 shaft end to a 1/2" shaft with flats. I actually have one plus a 1/2" handwheel I bough in case anything happened to the plastic handwheel.

Depending on what exactly is wrong with your handwheel, some fixed can be made. One of the common problems is the rotating handle being broken off. If the threaded hole is still in the ring remaining on the saw, a new handle is an easy fix, I can show how that can be done.
